- On August 8 and 9, 2011 the band members of Nanoose First Nation cast their ballots in the Ratification Vote on their Land Code. By an undeniable majority of 90% of ballots cast the community gave a clear message that authority over land management be returned to Nanoose First Nation. This is the 35th First Nation to ratify the Framework Agreement on First Nations Land Management.
- The members of the Anishinaabeg of Naongashiing, both on and off reserve, participated in the Land Code vote on June 22 and 25, 2011. From Kenora to Thunder Bay, Winnipeg to Fort Frances, and from all parts of Canada, the community gave a clear indication that control over land management be returned to Big Island. Over 89% approved the Land Code, effectively opting out of the land management sections of the Indian Act.
- On May 26 and 27, 2011 Songhees First Nation voting members cast ballots to re assume jurisdiction over their lands and resources. A strong majority vote confirmed that the Songhees First Nation voting members wish to retake control of land governance under the Framework Agreement on First Nation Land Management.

- Congratulations to Sumas First Nation on their land code vote. Of the registered voters who cast a ballot, 73% voted in favor of the land code.
- Congratulations to Swan Lake First Nation on their land code vote. Of registered voters who cast a ballot, 87% voted in favor of the land code. Please visit the Swan Lake First Nation website for more information.
- Congratulations to Chemawawin Cree Nation on their land code vote. Of registered voters who cast a ballot, 75% voted in favor of the land code.
